While AC Milan’s pursuit of Emerson Royal is further along than their attempts to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, the Italian team is still hopeful of being able to bring both players to the San Siro, according to the print version of Corriere dello Sport (as supplied by Sport Witness).
AC Milan want Hojbjerg and Emerson Royal
Numerous Italian publications have claimed that Milan is interested in trading for Emerson and Hojbjerg. Corriere has the most recent information on Milan’s pursuit of the Tottenham duo.
They assert that Emerson is eager to join and has already committed to “reducing his wages” to fit the Serie A team’s budget.
According to the source, Rossoneri is currently negotiating a deal with Tottenham and has already established a personal agreement with the right-back.
Spurs are willing to sell Hojbjerg and Emerson
The Premier League team hopes to close the deal for less than €20 million, although they are seeking €25 million.
Although a deal for Hojbjerg is reportedly significantly less advanced, it is noted that the midfield player is eager to leave Spurs and wants to join a Champions League team.
Nevertheless, there appears to be some optimism among the Milan administration over the possibility of securing a deal for the Danish international.
Spurs Web Opinion
Hojbjeg talks will probably have to wait until after Denmark’s Euro campaign is finished, but Milan may still sign Emerson if they are willing to pay Tottenham’s asking price.
I don’t think Spurs will give the Serie A team a significant discount on the Brazilian.
