Celtic backed to ‘hijack’ Newcastle United transfer deal for dominating ace who’s starred at Euro 2024

A former Premier League goalkeeper has advised Celtic to make a serious move to sign a Newcastle United player.

Following Joe Hart’s retirement at the end of the previous season, the Hoops are searching for a number one. Brendan Rodgers has been associated with several goalkeepers, including Martin Dubravka, the backup from Newcastle. He is currently returning home from Euro 2024 after Slovakia’s 2-1 loss to England was agonizingly close to triumph.Giorgi Mamardashvili of Georgia, who is leaving the major competition in Germany, is another star. Although Nick Pope currently holds the top spot at Newcastle United, the Valencia goalkeeper finished the previous season with 13 clean sheets in La Liga. Newcastle and other elite teams in Europe have started to give him approving looks.Paul Robinson, a former goalkeeper for Leeds, Tottenham, and Blackburn Rovers, has been monitoring the rumors surrounding the Toon and is unsure of what Celtic could do to put a stop to them. He supports Rodgers in pushing the boat out for this stopper and thinks the Hoops can kidnap a potential Newcastle United goalie in the midst of their search for a new keeper.

“He played for Valencia last season, and in my opinion, he was probably La Liga’s goalkeeper of the tournament,” Robinson said to Football Insider. I believe many teams in Europe will take notice of him after the manner he has performed for Georgia in this tournament.

“This kid is really, really good, so if there was a chance, if Celtic were going to go big, I mean, this kid is amazing.” At just twenty-three years old, he is six feet six, commands his box, and makes some excellent saves. A signing of his caliber would make a significant impact.

“Dubravka would be a good option, but once more, this is just a temporary solution; at the end of the next season, they’ll find themselves in a similar situation.”or the subsequent season. I see Celtic taking advantage of the situation.
