Aaron Epia has issued a classy farewell message to Eveton after completing his move to Newcastle United.

The 16-year-old defender, who has made appearances as a substitute in under-18 games against Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, was recently on trial with the Magpies.

According to NewcastleWorld, Epia chose to relocate to Tyneside despite being given the option to stay longer on Merseyside.

“I want to thank all the staff and players at @everton that have helped support my development over the last 7 years, I’ve had a great journey,” Epia stated in an Instagram post.

“I want to wish the club all the best for the future. It has been a tough decision to make, but I feel like the time has come for me to find a new challenge💙.”

Blackburn Rovers footballer Rory Finneran made a noteworthy comment on the page by using an emoji of clapping. Remarkably, Epia responded with an eyes emoji, implying that the young Republic of Ireland international is close to joining as well.

Finneran, who made his Blackburn debut at the age of 15, 10 months, and eight after substituting in an FA Cup match against Cambridge United in January, is reportedly close to joining Newcastle.

Alex Murphy, Reece Byrne, and Cathal Heffernan are just a few of the Irish players who have joined the Magpies’ program in the last two years.
