Newcastle United have completed the signing of former Durham forward Amy Andrews on a free transfer.
Not too long ago, the Magpies posted the announcement on their official club website.
After playing a season for Durham, Newcastle United’s neighbors in the Barclays Women’s Championship, Andrews now plays for Newcastle United. The 24-year-old was a constant for The Wildcats throughout the last league campaign. In her 22 Barclays Women’s Championship games, she scored six goals.
With her new team Newcastle United, the attacker, who has a lot of promise, will be looking to have another good season in 2024–2025.
Andrews declared, “I am very excited to be joining such an ambitious club whose goals align with mine,” upon his signing with The Magpies.
“A football player’s ambition is to be a member of the professional setup. I’m prepared to offer my best for the benefit of the players, staff, and supporters.
“I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the fans, so I can’t wait to get started and meet them all!”
Andrews joins Newcastle United as their second summer transfer window addition. In addition to signing Bristol City forward Shania Hayles this week, The Magpies have been busy boosting their attack under manager Becky Langley.
In due order, further information on the Newcastle United roster will be released.
