“Matthijs de Ligt is still interested in joining Manchester United, but the deal with Bayern was never finalized because Man United was holding out for Leny Yoro,” he stated. Now that Leny Yoro is almost a signed player, De Ligt continues to wait for Manchester United.
Yoro has since overtaken de Ligt as United’s top target, and the team has won the race to sign him. He completed the first round of his medical examination and is anticipated to sign a long-term contract shortly.
With the arrival of the Frenchman, it is unclear if United will press for a deal including de Ligt. The player, valued at £55 million, has accepted terms to join, but he might need to wait to join the Manchester United powerhouses.
