According to TuttoMercatoWeb on Monday, Hellas Verona turned down Everton’s bid of €8 million plus incentives of €2 million for Jackson Tchatchoua.

Additionally, it was reported that the Toffees may make a comeback with a stronger offer to match the Serie A team’s €10 million asking price, plus bonuses.

It should come as no surprise, according to Alfredo Pedullà, that Everton has not yet made a formal offer.

Through an intermediary, they have already indicated interest in the 22-year-old, so there’s no use in making the offer public until they hear back from them confirming its success.
The journalist reports that Stade Rennais has reportedly expressed interest in signing the Cameroonian international in the past few hours, in addition to the Merseyside club. The sports director of the Ligue 1 team, Frederic Massara, a former AC Milan player, likes his profile.

After first acquiring the right-back on loan from Belgian team Charleroi in August 2023, Hellas Verona made the move permanent last month.

This summer, the Italian club is prepared to sell the player for €10 million plus bonuses. Pedullà notes that they are currently awaiting an official offer, most likely from Tchatchoua’s and Everton’s other potential suitors.

The fullback played in 27 games for Hellas Verona in the previous campaign.
