Everton’s 2024 summer transfer business has been impressive thus far, with Sean Dyche wasting no time upgrading his squad.
Amidst an early rush of business, Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye arrived at Goodison Park.
In addition, a deal between Everton and Napoli is imminent for Dane Jesper Lindstrom.
Jake O’Brien, an Irish center defender for Lyon, is another player the Toffees are interested in signing. He is 23 years old.
Another clever move was Jack Harrison going back to Merseyside on loan; the former £10 million man has explained why he made the decision.
Jack Harrison makes Kevin Thelwell claim after returning to Everton
Following his reasonably successful loan stint in 2023–2024 and Leeds United’s inability to make it back to the Premier League, the 27-year-old’s decision to re-sign seemed like the best course of action for everyone involved.
Furthermore, Harrison has now clarified Kevin Thelwell’s contribution to pushing the move over the edge in an interview with the New York Times.
Harrison claimed, “The manager and Kevin (Thelwell) made it very clear how much they wanted me back.” “I felt at ease from the beginning.”
Furthermore, he stated, “having a point to prove to myself.” This was the greatest approach we could find to get where you want to be—where you’re respected and able to perform at your highest level.
Everton return marks yet another loan spell for Jack Harrison
Harrison has now spent four loan periods in his career before returning to Everton.
The 27-year-old played with the Blues the previous season, of course. In addition, he has previously played on loan at Middlesbrough and Leeds.
Since Harrison’s current Leeds contract expires in the summer of 2028, a third temporary arrangement cannot be ruled out if his second loan stint at Goodison Park is successful.
Naturally, Everton will have a far better chance of finally securing a low-cost permanent deal if the Yorkshire team stays out of the top flight.
