According to a report in the Turkish press, Newcastle United is reportedly planning to pursue Galatasaray attacker Baris Alper Yilmaz.

The right winger, 24, has been linked to the Premier League team in recent weeks because to his achievements at Euro 2024.

According to Fotospor Paul Mitchell, the sports director of Newcastle United, visited Turkey yesterday. It is said that he plans to see the Turkish Super Cup match between Galatasaray and Besiktas, two competing teams from Istanbul, in order to learn more about Yilmaz.

The report from the Turkish media outlet Since Yilmaz was AS Monaco’s sporting director, Mitchell has reportedly been keeping an eye on him. They further claim that Yilmaz visited Turkey in April to observe the attacker.
Newcastle United may submit an offer for the Turkey international, according to Fotospor, although they will probably have competition from Liverpool and Aston Villa for the €30 million-rated attacker.

The attacker has also been linked to Brighton, Arsenal, Manchester United, West Ham, and Arsenal. The €30 million allegation sounds lofty because some of the excitement in Turkey has seemed exaggerated and it doesn’t seem like all those clubs are really pressing for the move.

Last season, he started 28 Super League games and scored seven goals. Galatasaray has contracted with Yılmaz.
