Eddie Howe will need to alter his starting eleven if Newcastle United wants to win two straight Premier League games.
The Magpies opened the 2017 Premier League season with a 1-0 victory over Southampton, thanks to a heroic effort by Eddie Howe’s ten men.
Fabian Schar’s soft red card in the first half made things harder for Newcastle, but Joelinton was able to seal the win at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle United is now on the road, visiting Eddie Howe’s previous side, Bournemouth, at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday at 2 p.m.
This is our expected Newcastle United starting lineup for their match against Bournemouth. Howe will probably need to make at least one change to his squad.
Newcastle suspends Fabian Schar.
Newcastle United will surely make one change when they play Bournemouth. Because of his “headbutt” on Ben Brereton Diaz, Schar will miss the first two of his three-match suspension.
In the absence of a replacement center back, Emil Krafth will start and share the defensive midfield position with Dan Burn.
Hopefully, Krafth’s performance against Bournemouth will be comparable to his performance against Southampton. Marc Guehi will be under increased pressure to perform well as Newcastle approaches the signing of the player.
Lloyd Kelly’s first against his previous team at bat
Geordie Boot Boys predict that Lloyd Kelly will start in place of Lewis Hall in Newcastle United’s second defensive change.
The latter began the first game of the season, even if he didn’t play his best. The £28 million player was hindered by an early booking, but Kelly filled in for the final 20 minutes.
Since Newcastle is playing away from home, Howe may choose to make his squad a little more fearsome and challenging to beat. Kelly will take Hall’s position at left-back.
Kelly, who departed from Bournemouth at the conclusion of the last campaign, would be starting for the Toon for the first time against his former side.
It’s expected that Tino Livramento would stay at right-back, moving Kieran Trippier to different positions.
After an early substitute, Jacob Murphy begins the Newcastle opening.
The midfield for Newcastle won’t alter. Joelinton, along with Sean Longstaff and Bruno Guimaraes, was outstanding against Southampton.
The offensive strategy won’t be changed either, but Howe will be hoping that his front three can have a greater impact on Bournemouth.
Newcastle’s plan was ruined by Schar’s early red card against Southampton, necessitating the substitution of Jacob Murphy. After the game, Murphy, who will have another chance to start on Sunday, recognized the irony of just playing for about 20 minutes.
Alongside Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, two players who were shockingly quiet the week before, he will play offensively.Predicted starting lineup for the match against Bournemouth: Murphy, Isak, Gordon; Longstaff, Bruno, Joelinton; Livramento, Krafth, Burn, Kelly.
