Sandro Tonali, who is becoming more and more in love with Newcastle United, posted on social media that “this city lives football” tomorrow against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Eddie Howe may make Tonali’s first Premier League start for Newcastle United in 11 months.

The midfield player cost the Magpies £55 million a year ago, so they could have been let down when, after only 12 games, he was handed a 10-month penalty for breaking betting laws.
Nevertheless, Tonali is eager to return the club’s and his supporters’ faith after they came together to assist him during his time of need. “I’m happy because it’s the first time (playing) after 10 months,” he stated before to making his comeback at Nottingham Forest last month. Knowing that the squad and the supporters have always supported me makes me feel good.
“After ten months, I feel like it’s a new period, even if I had difficulties in the first three months. I’ve never been alone, and that’s very essential. This is a new chapter in my life, one that affects not just my loved ones and friends but also me. I’m supported by an excellent crew. This is really crucial.
“I had the good fortune to discover everyone who works at Newcastle to be close to and by my side all the time. From October 1st until now, this has been a huge assistance to me. Everyone on the squad, including JT (Jason Tindall), the coach, and everyone else, was always there to encourage me.
“But all of the secretaries, cooks, and housekeepers as well. Just as with the fans, not a single individual failed to offer me their support.
“Even though I had only arrived a few months earlier, they showed me the same amount of love that they would have given me if I had been there for ten years.” This had me thinking a lot. It also opened my eyes to the true nature of Newcastle supporters.
Recently, Tonali shared many images of Newcastle on Instagram along with the statement, “Pure passion – this city loves football.” The 24-year-old received hundreds of comments in addition to over 60,000 likes at the time of writing.
Eddie Howe faces a difficult decision on whether to start Tonali at Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow, his first Premier League star for an 11-month period. In Italy’s most recent matches against France and Israel, he participated for the whole ninety minutes.
