For the second straight weekend, Newcastle is away from home as they travel to the capital to play Fulham, who are led by Marco Silva.

Despite Joao Palhinha’s summertime departure, Silva’s team appears balanced and steady once more. Last weekend, they came just short of defeating West Ham again, but Danny Ings’ late goal sealed the victory.

Before the game on Saturday, the hosts are only concerned about one injury. Because of a slight calf injury, Silva will be without reserve striker Carlos Vinicius, but the former Tottenham attacker shouldn’t be out for too long.
Fulham’s main starters will return to the team well-rested after the manager made significant changes in response to the Cottagers’ thrilling cup loss earlier in the week.
Rodrigo Muniz may be kept off the field by Raul Jimenez, and Reiss Nelson, who is on loan from Arsenal, might be paired with Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe in the starting lineup on Saturday.

Due to chronic injuries, Lewis Miley, Jamaal Lascelles, and Sven Botman are still sidelined.

Naturally, Isak’s possible absence would be big, but Newcastle has a strong record versus Fulham. The Cottagers last prevailed in this match in 2017, when they were playing in the Championship. The Magpies had won the previous six encounters between the two teams.
Despite their present injury issues, Fulham’s consistency and balance should allow them to battle strongly in nearly every game this season, especially at home, but Newcastle’s victory against Silva’s team will give the visitors plenty of confidence.
