Loris Karius was released by Newcastle United this summer at the conclusion of his contract; he has not yet found a new team.
It’s safe to assume, though, that the former Liverpool player has been keeping himself occupied.
At St. James’ Park, goalkeepers are a hot topic these days. Following Karius’s departure this summer, Newcastle signed two more players to take his place: the seasoned John Ruddy and the PSR hole-saving Odysseas Vlachodimos.
Eddie Howe picked an incredible FIVE goalkeepers in his 25-man Premier League squad, thanks to the signing of a new contract by Mark Gillespie, the continued presence of Martin Dubravka, and Nick Pope, who remains the clear #1. Surely a best flight record?
Since Karius was the lone victim and had a strong family history, it was believed that he would be taken up in Italy, where he now resides permanently with his spouse and child. But because that deal hasn’t happened, the former Liverpool goalkeeper is free to sign with any team.
But he’s experimenting with modeling; he posted pictures from his latest catwalk with German apparel company Boss to Instagram.
“Just hit the runway for the first time— what an experience walking for@boss#BeYourOwnBoss,” was the caption that was shared with it.
Karius only played in one game for Newcastle United last season, against Arsenal, and most notably in the team’s loss to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final.
