The possibility of involving Luka Vušković with the Tottenham first team will delight Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs have a number of talented young players in North London who are already having an effect on the first team.

Mikey Moore, a 17-year-old, is one of those young players; he may play on Sunday, October 6, at the Amex Stadium against Brighton.

Recently, Will Lankshear also made his team debut. Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, for example, have appeared many times this season.

But Tottenham also has another young talent on its roster who is now having an influence on first teams around Europe.

The player in question is Vušković, a center defender who is now on loan at Westerlo in Belgium.

Vušković was bought by Spurs for £12 million from Hajduk Split, defeating numerous European teams for his signing (via Evening Standard, September 25, 2023). After turning 18, the Croatian will sign with Tottenham in the summer of 2025.

Furthermore, Vušković has made it apparent to Postecoglou that he is prepared to transfer.

Friday, October 4, saw a 2-2 draw between Westerlo and Beerschot in the Belgian Pro League. The home team’s Vušković scored a brace.

The 17-year-old defender has already scored four goals in ten league games this season. Following his most recent heroic goal-scoring performance, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the kid.

Romano commented, “Tottenham are very happy with Luka Vuskovic’s development now on loan at Westerlo in Belgium,” on October 5th, according to his official X account.

Not surprisingly, Spurs are content with Vušković. It will be intriguing to watch how they handle the player’s arrival as a result.

There are other talented young defenders vying for a spot in the Spurs starting lineup; John Wenham recently spoke highly of a 16-year-old who is currently a member of the team.

Postecoglou appears to have some choices to make about these young defenders as a consequence, and it will be intriguing to watch how the Australian responds to that.

Still, the 59-year-old will surely be looking forward to seeing Vušković at Hotspur Way more closely.
