Tottenham Hotspur are set to bolster their squad with the return of key players soon, just in time for a demanding stretch of games across three competitions. Ange Postecoglou’s side has already been hit by a string of injuries and suspensions during the first ten matches of the 2024/25 season. However, with the international break now giving players time to recover, Spurs are hopeful they can welcome back some much-needed reinforcements by the time they face West Ham on October 19.

Captain Son Heung-min, who has been out since picking up a hamstring injury during the 3-0 win over Qarabag, is working hard to return. Though he was forced to withdraw from the South Korea squad for their World Cup qualifiers, Spurs fans hope he’ll be fit to feature against West Ham. While not yet back in full training, Son has a solid window of time to get match-ready.

Richarlison also looks to be nearing a comeback. The Brazilian striker, who has struggled with limited game time this season, was seen training with the ball in a series of images posted by the club this week. Even if he doesn’t make the West Ham game, his return soon after would provide crucial depth in attack, especially with the demanding fixtures of a Europa League clash against AZ Alkmaar and a Carabao Cup tie with Manchester City on the horizon.

Meanwhile, new signing Wilson Odobert continues his recovery from a hamstring injury sustained last month. Odobert recently gave an update on his progress, expressing his determination to return stronger. His absence has been felt in recent weeks, especially with both Son and Richarlison sidelined.

Looking ahead, Spurs fans can also anticipate the arrival of Yang Min-hyeok in January 2025. The South Korean winger, who signed a five-year deal in July, has been in impressive form with Gangwon FC, contributing ten goals and six assists in 33 appearances this season. His addition should further strengthen Tottenham’s attacking options as the season progresses.
