New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been cleared from the team’s injury list and will be starting in their Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills. Rodgers fully participated in practice on Saturday, after being limited earlier in the week due to a sprained ankle. Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich noted that Rodgers had also dealt with a hamstring issue.

Rodgers’ return comes after a difficult game in London last Sunday, where he threw three interceptions in a loss to Minnesota. His leg was twisted during the game, but he managed to keep playing. Despite the setback, Ulbrich praised Rodgers’ resilience and his ability to take care of his body, saying the quarterback looked as sharp as ever.

Ulbrich stepped into the head coaching role after Robert Saleh was dismissed and has since made adjustments to the coaching staff. Offensive play-calling responsibilities have been shifted, with Todd Downing, the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator, now overseeing the offense. The Jets have struggled offensively, and this matchup against the Bills will be crucial for their performance.

On the defensive side, the Jets will be without nickel cornerback Michael Carter II, who hurt his back in warmups last week and did not practice. Linebacker C.J. Mosley, who has missed the past three games due to a toe injury, might return but is listed as questionable. Ulbrich said Mosley has been gradually increasing his practice workload and has felt better, leaving hope for his return. Defensive tackle Leki Fotu is also on the mend and may see action soon, having recently returned to practice after being sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Additionally, linebacker Jamien Sherwood was able to fully participate in practice after injuring his hand earlier, and he is not listed on the final injury report. Tight end Tyler Conklin, however, remains questionable for the game after being limited in practice all week with a hip injury. Conklin has 17 receptions this season, making him the fourth-leading receiver on the team.

Rodgers’ presence is expected to boost the Jets, who are seeking to rebound from recent struggles. However, with some key players out and others questionable, their Monday night matchup against the Bills will be a significant test.
