We learnt (see below) that Adidas will once again be Newcastle United’s kit supplier for the 2024–2025 season back in August of 2023.

The “leak” was discovered through an episode of the NUFC documentary on Amazon Prime that was “accidentally” made accessible to watch before being taken down.

The “leak” from Amazon Prime that claimed Adidas and Newcastle United will reunite for the first time since 2010.

What about the season as a whole, though?

The 20 Premier League teams for the 2024–2025 season are listed below; the PL clubs that each kit supplier had for the previous season in 2023–2024 are indicated in brackets.

Adidas:

Arsenal, Fulham, Leicester, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Aston Villa are the seven teams (four teams are Arsenal, Fulham, Manchester United, and Nottingham Forest).

Castore:

First, Everton (Three: Wolves, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa)

Umbro

Four teams: Brentford, Bournemouth, Ipswich, and West Ham (five teams: Burnley, Luton, West Ham, Bournemouth, and Brentford).

Nike

Four: Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Brighton (Four): Tottenham, Brighton, Chelsea, and Liverpool

Puma:

Manchester City and Southampton are two. (Manchester City, to start)

Macron

The first is Crystal Palace. (Crystal Palace, to start)

Error

None (Singapore United, one)

SUDU:

Hummel:

None (Just Everton, one)

What appears to be a bit of a catastrophe for Castore is undoubtedly the big story here.

Not much of a consolation prize to have Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Wolves, then lose them all in one shot, leaving just Everton to replace those three!

Naturally, it’s also interesting to see Adidas expand from four to seven Premier League clubs, once again assuming a dominant position. They now encompass Newcastle United, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Villa as well.

The Mag, August 19, 2023

The new uniform partner of Newcastle United will be Adidas.

The German business that will take Castore’s position.

Amazon Prime unintentionally disclosed the information earlier on Saturday.

The second of the four episodes of the documentary “This is Newcastle United,” which is now airing, was published on Thursday at midnight.

Episodes three and four, however, were inadvertently posted by Amazon Prime earlier today and swiftly removed.

The Adidas surprise was disclosed in episode four.

Amanda Staveley, Peter Silverstone, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, Darren Eales, and Abdulmajid Ahmed Alhagbani were spotted departing quickly to finalise the agreement with Adidas.

The narrator asserts that this contract, which is supposedly the largest commercial agreement Newcastle United has ever made, has the potential to bring in hundreds of millions of pounds for the team.

After this season, Adidas will take over for Castore, meaning that when they re-establish themselves with Newcastle United, it will be with the 2024–25 uniforms.

Adidas worked with Newcastle United Football Club (NUFC) for 15 years, from 1995 to 2010, and most Newcastle supporters believe that they have produced some of the greatest ever uniforms.

After that, Mike Ashley moved the team to Puma from 2010 to 2021, prior to closing the agreement with Castore.

The final Adidas uniforms (until 2024–2025) were worn by players in the 2009–10 championship season, including Jonas Gutierrez (see above photo), who represented the NUFC in that lower division campaign.
