Billy Dodds has criticised Mohamed Diomande for putting Rangers under pressure against Kilmarnock on Sunday, October 20, with a poor pass in the first half.
For the first forty-five minutes against Derek McInnes’ team, the Gers have not been able to muster any pressure on the home team’s defence.
Dodds was irritated with the Ivory Coast international during a live broadcast on BBC Sportsound on October 20, as they both failed to score and at times appeared unpleasant.
“You need more there from the Rangers midfield,” he remarked. Why is he passing it back to a center-half to resume play?
“Be braver than that; you’re in a good position in Kilmarnock’s half. You have the upper hand over their first two players; move forward and take decisive action. It is beyond me, Diomande, why he turns back.

Although the home team placed the ball in the net, Stuart Findlay’s goal was disallowed for offside, and the Light Blues lead at the half at Rugby Park.
This ought to have served as a warning to the opposition during a first half at Rugby Park where they largely found it difficult to get going.
After this, Philippe Clement’s team struggled and didn’t really alter their approach as Kilmarnock created a lot of issues.
The backline and midfield had a hard time getting anything through because there wasn’t much movement in the attacking areas overall.
The ability to get on the ball and create opportunities is something that fans of Diomande want to see in their player.
He has frequently opted for the simple route of playing a sideways or backwards pass against Killie rather than taking a chance and moving forward.
He needs to take a gamble in the second half, and maybe something will happen to assist the Gers take the lead.
