After an Everton supporter recapped Michael Keane’s goal against Ipswich Town on Saturday, October 19, Ally McCoist was in stitches.

The 31-year-old centre back scored an unexpected goal to help the Toffees secure a crucial 2-0 victory at Portman Road, moving them five points clear of the relegation zone.

Having to step in for Jarrad Branthwaite due to injury, Keane has received criticism for a few of his performances this season. However, his goal threw the away fans into a frenzy.

Everton supporter Steve said over the phone on talkSPORT on Monday, October 21, at 9:24 a.m., “McNeil’s got it on the edge, he’s done two players, has seen Michael Keane, slid him in and there’s only ever one result.” Ah, 2-0.

McCoist laughed uncontrollably and said, “Steve, hold on a minute.” I feel like I’m at Portman Road right now,” Jeff Stelling responded, “It seems like my job’s at jeopardy here.”

Everton claim important win v Ipswich Town

After a dismal start to the 2017 Premier League season with four games played, Sean Dyche appears to have quietly turned things around at Goodison Park.

The Toffees have won two of their previous four games, drawing with Leicester and Newcastle United, and defeating Crystal Palace and Ipswich.

Keane appears to have hushed his detractors at Portman Road, if only for this game week, in spite of all the criticism he has received thus far this season. He also contributed to keeping a clean sheet against the Tractor Boys.

In just the club’s second league victory of the season, Iliman Ndiaye opened the score with his third goal in Everton colours. Ndiaye was also playing at full capacity against the recently promoted team.

West Ham, Southampton, and Fulham are up next, so Dyche’s team needs to stay focused and try to get as many points out of these matches as they can before the busy Christmas season begins.
