With their recent improvements in Premier League form, Everton has been able to get back on track on the pitch.
Sean Dyche’s team leads Crystal Palace, who are in 18th place, by five points going into Saturday’s matchup with Fulham.
With Everton expected to depart Goodison Park at the end of the season, there is plenty to be enthused about on Merseyside even though it is still tight around the bottom.
Ahead of the upcoming season, when they want to showcase top division football, Everton will be playing in their brand-new, state-of-the-art stadium on the docks.
Everton supporters will be anticipating more than just the new stadium, though, as new ownership is also possible.
Additionally, it appears like The Friedkin Group has some ambitious ambitions that will undoubtedly thrill the fans.
The Friedkin Group have exciting off-field Everton plans
Although the Friedkin Group is getting closer to acquiring Everton, they do not currently have any plans to visit Goodison Park.
They are reportedly trying to avoid making the same error that 777, who were well-known on Merseyside and ultimately saw their takeover fail, did.
However, in order to start things moving before they possibly arrive at Goodison, The Friedkin Group is working behind the scenes.
The Friedkin Group is already planning to move into the new stadium before the upcoming season, according to The Athletic.
According to the source, if Everton hadn’t had their new stadium ready to go, TFG would not have been very interested in purchasing the team.
Additionally, the Nelson Dock is a possible area for investment, and the putative new owners are already planning to increase Everton’s presence on the docklands property.
Rumour has it that TFG may already be investigating the possibilities of increasing the capacity of the new stadium by creating additional space in the east stand.
The Friedkin Group are ready to invest at Everton
With the potential new owners seeming so eager to put their money where their mouth is, this must be a welcome change for all Everton supporters.
It will be intriguing to observe the potential impact of these plans on the club’s transfer budget in the years preceding these expansion ambitions.
Tottenham Hotspur, for example, has demonstrated that the extra money they have received from their new stadium has given them more money to spend with a genuine buffer on PSR.
But TFG may spend a lot of money on things off the pitch, and supporters will be hoping that this doesn’t interfere with their capacity to bolster their team during the transfer window.
