Curtis Jones recently came out and gave his verdict on the Liverpool vs Everton in the Merseyside derby which happened to differ to the fans. Everton are set to welcome Liverpool to Goodison Park in the first Merseyside derby of the season on December 7th in what has the makings of another classic.
Sean Dyche managed to get the better of the Reds in April of last year, which was the first win for Everton in the Merseyside derby since 2021. The Everton boss looks set to still be in charge for December unless something drastic happens, as things have taken a turn for the better on Merseyside. However, with the Everton takeover ticking along and the Friedkin Group receiving criticism for rash managerial decisions, you can never rule anything out.
Interestingly, Liverpool star Curtis Jones already has one eye on the Merseyside derby after talking about where it ranks for him recently.

Interestingly, Curtis Jones has only played against Everton twice in the Premier League, and he lost 2-0 on both occasions. Despite the Merseyside derby being over a month away, the topic was brought up in a video about Curtis Jones, who was asked about the best atmosphere he has played in.
Yeah. And that just comes down again to being a scouser, and I’m a Liverpool fan from a kid and my family are as well. I’ve got friends who are Everton fans and that back and forth with them. “Obviously if you win the game it’s nice to say our city until the next time, little things like that.”
