Parramatta’s new coach, Jason Ryles, has a 10-game window next season to earn the trust of star five-eighth Dylan Brown. Brown, a standout for the Eels in 2023 when he stepped up in Mitchell Moses’ absence, is contracted until 2030. However, he has an unusual opt-out clause for mid-2026 if he isn’t satisfied with the team’s direction.

“It’s just a precaution we added in Dylan’s contract, knowing a coaching change was coming,” his manager, Gavin Orr, told *Wide World of Sports*. “He loves playing for Parramatta and is adapting well under the new coach, but it’s still early.”

Meanwhile, NRL clubs missed out on securing Papua New Guinea’s Judah Rimbu, a talented hooker who impressed this season with the PNG Hunters, tallying 16 tries in 23 Queensland Cup games. After captaining the PNG Prime Minister’s XIII and debuting internationally with a try against Fiji, Rimbu drew interest from Australian clubs but ultimately signed a two-year contract with Castleford in England, where he will soon relocate.
