Mason Mount’s return to first-team training has prompted Man United supporters to vent their anger on social media.

Since joining Man United from his boyhood club in July 2023, the 25-year-old’s career has been marred by injuries.

For the 20-time Premier League champions, Mount has only managed to play 971 minutes in all competitions, contributing one assist and one goal.

The offensive midfielder has been sidelined since suffering a head injury during their crushing 3-0 loss to Tottenham earlier in the season.

Mount has resumed practicing with the first squad and may be ready to play in Thursday’s (November 7) Europa League match against PAOK, according to a statement released by United.

Man United fans have given up on Mason Mount

Since Erik ten Hag is no longer with the team, Mount will need to demonstrate his value once more in order to get over his previous problems and secure a starting position under new manager Ruben Amorim.

Some United fans are unconvinced, however, and are starting to believe the club would be better off without the England international.
