During the January transfer window, Valentín Barco of Brighton & Hove Albion may be replaced at Sevilla by Sergio Reguilón of Tottenham.
According to Vamos Mi Sevilla, a trade involving the two players may be imminent.
Although Barco has been on loan at Sevilla since the summer transfer window, we reported earlier this month on Spanish reports that Sergio Reguilón of Tottenham Hotspur might take his place in January.
Since the end of September, the Argentine has participated in seven games, including one as a replacement.
Vamos Mi Sevilla FC supports the idea that the La Liga team might use the Tottenham player in the winter transfer window to replace the Brighton player. Reguilón’s arrival at the club is “heating up,” according to their headline.
The 20-year-old Argentine is seen as one of sporting director Víctor Orta’s disappointments this season, and the Andalusian club is unsure of his optimum position on the field. The representatives of Brigthon, Sevilla, and Barco are attempting to shorten his loan period during the upcoming window.
Sevilla then hopes to bring Reguilón in to replace the Brighton player. Ange Postecoglou has just once this season selected the 27-year-old in his squad, and he hasn’t played for Tottenham.
Before joining Tottenham from Real Madrid in 2020, Reguilón spent a season on loan at Sevilla. According to the source, he has already reached an agreement with the Spanish club to return.
They claim that in order for the deal to proceed in January, an agreement with Tottenham must be reached. The site claims that Reguilón’s contract with Spurs expires in 2025 and that he may join Sevilla on loan or through a free transfer, the latter of which would need him to end his Spurs contract first.
