St Helens second-rower and England international Paige Travis has left the club in order to join National Women’s Rugby League (NRLW) side Parramatta Eels until 2026.
The 25-year-old has played for a Saints team that has recently dominated women’s rugby league, winning the Women’s Super League treble in 2021, the League Leaders’ Shield, and the historic Women’s Challenge Cup.
Between 2021 and 2024, she also won four consecutive Challenge Cups, including the inaugural Wembley final in 2023.
Travis stated on the Australian team’s website, “I am excited to be joining the Parramatta Eels and to challenge myself in the NRLW.”
“As a team that plays with passion and for one another, the Eels have truly impressed me in the many NRLW games I’ve watched.”
During his 65 games with the Saints, Travis scored 140 points and 35 tries.
She has already earned eight caps for England and played for her nation in the Rugby League World Cup in 2021.
The leaving Travis told the Saints website, “I’ve learnt a lot about myself over the course of my six years at this amazing club, both on and off the pitch.”
“I love the girls and the staff, they have become part of my family – but it’s time for me to push myself and take this next step in my career.”
