According to Alex McMonnies of the Liverpool Echo, Everton will fire Sean Dyche after The Friedkin Group has finished acquiring the Merseyside team.
Even though Farhad Moshiri fully supports the English manager [Sky Sports, November 25], TFG is scheduled to purchase the Toffees from the British-Iranian entrepreneur.
According to McMonnies, who wrote in the Liverpool Echo [29 November], the incoming owners will relieve the former Burnley head coach of his responsibilities as soon as they arrive. The Blues are now in 15th place in the Premier League standings, just two points above the relegation zone.
“It appears that Sean Dyche is running out of time to turn things around for the Toffees, and based on the past few weeks, my gut tells me that the 53-year-old will be fired from his position as soon as the Friedkin takeover is finalised, and the Blues will start looking for their eighth permanent manager in as many years,” he wrote.
Sean Dyche should be sacked by Dan Friedkin at Everton
As soon as TFG arrives at Goodison, they must make a big impact, and firing Dyche—who no longer has the support of the Everton supporters—is the best way to do it.
If the Toffees want to progress, the few remnants of the Moshiri era must be done away with.
When Dyche first came to Merseyside, he performed remarkably well, enabling the Blues to avoid a relegation when it seemed certain.
The 53-year-old also had a key role in Everton’s point deduction last season, which made the Toffees one of the favourites to drop to the Championship.
The Goodison supporters had hoped for some kind of progress from the team going into the 2024–25 season, but instead they have been delivered regression on a plate, with the draws against Brentford and West Ham underscoring their predicament.
Even though his players haven’t assisted Dyche, the Blues’ team is clearly good enough to avoid struggling at the bottom of the league standings.
The Toffees’ trip to Manchester United on December 1st will be a difficult test for them, and if they lose at Old Trafford, it will be unclear if the English head coach’s job at the Merseyside club would still be viable.
