According to a rumor, Newcastle has placed an incredible price tag of more than £150 million for the in-form Alexander Isak.
The 25-year-old was acquired by the Magpies from Real Sociedad in 2022 for £63 million, which remains the club’s most costly acquisition to date.
Isak has scored 11 goals in 16 Premier League games this season, and only three players have scored more than him: Mohamed Salah (16), Erling Haaland (13) and Cole Palmer (12).
Some Premier League competitors as well as other European powerhouses, such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, have taken notice of his outstanding play.
According to The Telegraph, Isak has stated that he is happy on Tyneside, and Newcastle has maintained that they are “relaxed” about the issue despite the abundance of possible suitors.
Chelsea asked about the Swede’s availability when Enzo Maresca was hired in the summer, and the aforementioned £150m valuation satisfied their needs.
