Despite the fact that the English transfer window closed on Monday evening, Newcastle United may still agree to another transaction.

Eddie Howe will have to wait until the summer to make major changes to Newcastle United’s starting XI.

It’s been three transfer windows since any big acquisitions arrived at St James’ Park, and the recent winter window has only weakened Newcastle’s current roster.

Miguel Almiron returned to Atlanta United, while Lloyd Kelly joined Juventus on loan with a £20 million buyout clause.

That is not where the departures end, either. Jamie Miley joined Hartlepool on loan, whilst Isaac Hayden left for Portsmouth. One of Newcastle United’s most promising young players could be on his way out.

Newcastle United invite Garang Kuol loan offers

Newcastle has been looking for new, dynamic players since the PIF took over the club.

Garang Kuol signed with PIF in 2022 after impressing scouts. Now 20 years old, the Australian winger hopes to break into Howe’s first-team plans.

Kuol scored his first Newcastle goal in January, reminding the club of his high potential. However, he needs more experience before he can be a regular in the first squad.

Kuol missed out on a summer exit due to injury, but he has been an important member of the Under-21s squad.

According to the Shields Gazette, Newcastle are still willing to let Kuol leave due of relations with Australia.

While the English transfer window closed on Monday evening, the Australian transfer window remains open until Wednesday, February 12, meaning there is still more than a week to complete a transaction.

Newcastle coach admits Garang Kuol could leave

Newcastle Under-21s head coach Diarmuid O’Carroll has revealed that Kuol might still depart this month, but he could also stay for the rest of the season.

“Potentially [he will stay],” O’Carroll explained.

“No decisions were taken. Obviously, things can change in the final week of the window. But I think we’re absolutely fine with him being in the building.

“If someone was to come and there’s an attractive option, again we would sit down as a team in terms of Jack [Ross] and everybody and we weigh it up.”

If a “attractive” offer is made for Kuol during the next month, the teenage winger could be loaned out to get more experience.
