FC United of Manchester Bids Farewell to Brian Richardson
FC United of Manchester has announced that Brian Richardson, the club’s Head of Recruitment and Player Pathways, will be leaving to take up a role at Bury FC. Richardson initially joined the club in May 2019 as Assistant Manager and later returned to Broadhurst Park in 2022 to take on his current role.
During his time at FC United, Richardson has been an invaluable asset, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience in non-league football to the club. His contributions have been immense, not only in his work with the first team but also in supporting the pathway teams, particularly the U21s.
Richardson expressed his gratitude to the club, stating, “I’ve absolutely loved my time at Broadhurst Park, and it has been a privilege to work alongside so many great people.” He also praised the fans, saying, “I must give a special mention to the fans, who never stop singing – win, lose or draw.”
Board chair Nick Boom paid tribute to Richardson’s dedication and passion, saying, “Brian’s contribution to the club has been immense… His knowledge, passion, and dedication have left a lasting impact on us all, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything he’s done.”
Richardson’s departure marks the end of an era at FC United, but the club wishes him all the best for the future. As he embarks on his new challenge at Bury FC, FC United fans will undoubtedly miss his presence, but his legacy will continue to be felt at Broadhurst Park.
