Melbourne Storm star Cam Munster has revealed that a single word uttered by Penrith Panthers’ Liam Martin reignited their long-standing feud. The incident occurred during the NRL grand final rematch between the two teams, which the Storm won 30-24.

Munster, who was penalized and put on report for an alleged hip-drop tackle on Martin, claimed that his rival called him a “liability” during the game. This comment seemingly sparked the tension between the two players, leading to a series of heated exchanges throughout the match.

Despite the drama, Munster insisted that he has a lot of respect for Martin both on and off the field. He acknowledged that their rivalry is intense, but ultimately, it’s all part of the game.

The Storm playmaker also expressed disappointment with the penalty he received, believing it wasn’t warranted. However, he took full responsibility for his actions and acknowledged that he could have handled the situation better.

The rivalry between Munster and Martin is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing in the NRL. Their intense clashes on the field are a testament to their competitive spirit and desire to win. As the season progresses, fans can expect more thrilling encounters between these two NRL superstars.
