Helen Flanagan, the 34-year-old actress who played Rosie Webster on Coronation Street, is eager to make a comeback to the popular ITV soap. Flanagan, who last appeared on the show in 2018, has been living in Lancashire, closer to the show’s filming location, and is now keen to reprise her role as Rosie Webster.

In a recent conversation with The Sun on Sunday’s Bizarre column, Flanagan expressed her enthusiasm for returning to Weatherfield, the fictional town where Coronation Street is set. She revealed that she has been brainstorming ideas for her character’s return, including a potential storyline where Rosie comes back as a single mother, having just left her partner.

Flanagan’s vision for her character’s return includes Rosie dumping her two kids with her on-screen mother, Sally Metcalfe, and taking on the role of an iconic barmaid at the Rovers Return. The actress believes that this storyline would be an excellent way to reintroduce her character, especially given her new circumstances as a single mother.

Although Flanagan is eager to return to Coronation Street, she revealed that soap bosses have not approached her about a comeback. Despite this, she remains optimistic, stating that she would “absolutely love” to go back to the show. Flanagan’s last appearance on Coronation Street was in 2018, when she took maternity leave for her second child, Delilah.

In the past, Flanagan has spoken about her desire to return to Coronation Street, but emphasized that the decision ultimately lies with the show’s producers. She stated, “You have to go back if they ask you. It’s up to the producer, it’s not really up to you. You have to be asked, you can’t just turn up.”

Flanagan’s potential return to Coronation Street has sparked excitement among fans, who are eager to see her reprise her role as Rosie Webster. With her new storyline idea and enthusiasm for returning to the show, it remains to be seen whether Flanagan will make a comeback to the popular ITV soap.
