The Kentucky Wildcats are preparing for their Sweet 16 matchup with Tennessee, but they’re also doing a little work within the transfer portal now that it’s open.

According to David Sisk of Rivals, Kentucky has made contact with Tulane guard Kam Williams.

And per Jacob Polacheck of KSR, Kentucky is also in contact with Florida State forward Taylor Bol Bowen.

The 6-foot-8, 190-pound Williams primarily played the 3 spot as a true freshman at Tulane this season. The 3-star prospect averaged 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 blocks, and shot 41.2% on 3-pointers on 4.6 attempts per game. He also played some small-ball 4, so Williams is someone who could give Kentucky depth at multiple spots.

As for the 6-foot-10, 195-pound Bowen, he was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2023. This past season, he averaged 8.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and shot 41.4% from deep on 2.4 attempts per game. Bowen primarily played the 4 spot while occasionally sliding down to the 5, so he’s another guy that could give Kentucky some added versatility.

While it’s still early, 247 Sports has Williams ranked 22nd among transfer portal prospects, while Bowen is not among the top 150 prospects.
