After Everton’s loss to Man City, David Moyes likely can’t wait for the season to conclude.

With a strong showing and a late loss to Pep Guardiola’s City, Everton’s performance wasn’t the worst in the world.

After a comeback, Moyes can’t hold his players too accountable for the outcome, which puts the Toffees in mid-table.

Guardiola claimed that Everton’s set pieces are unstoppable, demonstrating the team’s growth under the Scotsman.

Moyes made it apparent to one Everton player that he still sees a lot of room for growth.

David Moyes furious at Carlos Alcaraz after Everton loss to Man City

Given that Moyes’ team had six games undefeated at The Grand Old Lady, the Everton supporters will be upset over the defeat at Goodison Park.

With their final two home games against Southampton and Ipswich, the Toffees should be able to give the iconic stadium the ideal farewell.

However, Moyes will undoubtedly want to concentrate on his team’s performance, and their hard work was undone versus City following an outstanding showing against Nottingham Forest.

There were several subpar performances, and Michael Keane’s future appeared to be “all over the place.” Carlos Alcaraz’s future may now be taken into consideration as a result of his actions.

During his news conference after the game, Moyes expressed his disapproval of Alcaraz’s decision to give away the ball, which allowed Nico O’Reilly to score the first goal.

“We had given the ball away horribly, but I felt we should have dealt with the first goal better than we did,” Moyes remarked.

“A straightforward pass around the box could have changed the outcome.”

Alcaraz has to be careful with Moyes questioning at Everton

Moyes may be unsure if he wants to spend the £15 million option to purchase Alcaraz because the decision is still up in the air.

Although the Argentine has shown promise since his arrival, Moyes hasn’t started Alcaraz much at Everton, which reveals the Scotsman’s position.

With just five games remaining, it has been announced that Everton is avoiding Alcaraz’s buyout option. Alcaraz is unable to make the nine starts required to earn the £15 million cost.

Even though the midfielder has four starts, Everton is still able to sign the 22-year-old.

Alcaraz wants to continue at Everton for the long run, but after costing the Toffees against City, Moyes may have other ideas.
