Soccer.Alasdair Gold of London has stated that Tottenham is not interested in signing Santiago Gimenez this summer, while the team has also downplayed rumors that they may try to get Ivan Toney.

Over the past few months, Toney and Gimenez have been the strikers most frequently associated with a move to Tottenham.
In fact, GiveMeSport hinted a few days back that Ange Postecoglou’s current wishlist still had the Feyenoord player at the top.
According to the source, Brentford is demanding close to £60 million for Toney, while Spurs are interested in the England international but are only willing to spend £45 million.

As of right now, Gold has stated that Gimenez is not on Spurs’ shortlist of strikers for the foreseeable future.
He clarifies that although the Mexican was seen at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the close of the previous campaign, the club had not invited him; rather, he was there as an agent’s guest.
Gold adds that Tottenham has been quick to deny rumors that they are interested in Toney at this point in the summer window.
The journalist concludes by saying that the Lilywhites are now not giving Bolonga’s Joshua Zirkzee much thought.
