Deal close – 22y/o int’L now poised to join Celtic, club discuss fee ( Viljami Sinisalo is close to joining Celtic)

Viljami Sinisalo, the goalkeeper for Aston Villa, is almost signed by Celtic.

The Scottish Sun reports that the Hoops have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old goalkeeper and that he is now “poised” to transfer to Parkhead.

Joe Hart, who declared his retirement at the conclusion of the previous campaign, left Celtic. It’s also expected that Benji Siegrist will leave Celtic Park.

The two teams are talking about a price for Sinisalo, according to a report in the newspaper’s digital edition.

The three-time captained Finnish goalie will likely become the second goalie to join the team this summer if the trade closes, which is quite likely.

Kasper Schmeichel, a former goalkeeper for Leicester City, is close to joining Celtic. He will be the first-choice keeper for the team. “Highly rated” Sinisalo will face competition from the Danish keeper for the starting position.

Previously, Sinisalo played for Ayr United and spent the previous season on loan at Exeter City. His reputation is just going to get stronger, and the Bhoys seem to be pulling off a fantastic commercial move with this.

Celtic has been making good progress with the transfer window as they want to add an attacker.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha, a forward for Royal Antwerp, is attracting the attention of Celtic, who have discussed a possible transfer with the player’s representatives.

Matt O’Riley, a midfield player, will be difficult to hold onto for the Bhoys in the meantime. Juventus has entered the competition to sign the highly regarded Danish midfield master, after Atalanta of Serie A made an attempt to sign him.

Additionally said to have expressed interest in O’Riley are Leicester and Southampton. But, Celtic is anticipated to want a hefty transfer fee in exchange for him. Similar to the January window, Brendan Rodgers does not want to lose him in the summer window, and signing him will come at a steep cost for any interested parties.
