This weekend, Ross County Girls and Women won two awards in two days.
The club’s under-18 team traveled to Inverurie yesterday to play Westdyke in the North League Cup final.
County had a great start, leading 60 seconds into the game when Agnes Hooper tapped home following Maimie Zimmerman’s through pass.
Katie Mackinnon continued to fire after their early lead, scoring twice more before halftime to give County a commanding lead.
Based in Orkney After the break, Abi Coltherd would score County’s fourth goal, and Hooper would double her own total to make it five.
Westdyke made a long-range comeback, but County would add the cherry on top—thanks to Mikayla Mackay—before raising the trophy.

That was only the first portion.
But it was just the beginning of the weekend; today afternoon in Dingwall, the club’s senior Highlands and Islands League team took against Buckie in what may be the title match.
Both teams knew going into the encounter that the 2024 championship would be theirs if they prevailed, but a draw would also allow Sutherland to pass both teams if they could defeat Caithness.
Sutherland performed as expected, winning 6-1, but it was in vain as County won 1-0 at the Highland Football Academy to clinch the championship.

“Winning the league felt great, especially since it was my first game,” she remarked.
“Buckie was an excellent team. They performed admirably, but we ignored them.
“It’s truly unique for the club, in my opinion, as we can now realize our potential.” That’s quite fantastic for us to accomplish in our first year.
“I believe we can reach the summit with this team and that we will advance further up the pyramid.”
Personally, Syrjanen was calm as she led County to a clean sheet in her debut, and she said the team is feeling really good.
“I would prefer to simply continue moving forward,” Syrjanen continued.
“The team is playing excellent football, and the club is doing really well.
“The club has a positive vibe. We all want to play football and win, that’s all, but we also get along great as a team.
The fact that we’ve been playing together for a while helps. The variety of individuals is pleasant to be around.
